ACTIVITY TITLE : Theatre Club Activity

ACTIVITY BRIEF :

Theatre allows students to explore and express their creativity. They learn to embody different characters, emotions, and situations, which helps them develop a greater understanding of human experiences and emotions.Performing on stage helps students build self-confidence and self-esteem. Overcoming stage fright and performing in front of an audience can lead to a sense of accomplishment and personal growth.Theatre club helps students develop strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills. They learn to articulate their lines clearly, project their voice, and use body language effectively to convey messages.Rehearsals and performances often come with unexpected challenges. Students learn to adapt and think on their feet to find creative solutions to problems that may arise during a production.Overall, participating in a theatre club can offer students a well-rounded education that extends beyond the traditional classroom setting, helping them develop essential life skills and a deeper connection to the arts and human experiences.

Students of BGS NPS Bannerghatta worked on a concept called ‘ Improvisation”. Improvisation is the activity of making or doing something not plan beforehand. Students learned about story writing and Improvisation in this week’s activity. Students also played the charades game in which they had to guess the movie name from the pictures given, and they had to act for the name given in the chits. The outcome of the activity was creativity and imagination.
