Environment Day
The theme of Environment Day 2024, “Land restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience” reminds us of the necessity and power of restoration in healing our mother planet. The act of reviving include planting trees, cleaning up beaches, advocating for sustainable practices and so on. As a conscious living being, it’s the responsibility of each individual to protect nature and there by the world itself.
As part of Environment Day 2024, students of junior classes prepared posters, banners and pamphlets. They also conducted a special assembly, human chain with pledge and participated in tree plantation along with all faculty members. The senior students visited Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum. There they had an informative session on ‘Climate Change’ and ‘Indian Medical Plants’.
