Germination of a Seed
CLASS/SECTION : Pre-Primary
ACTIVITY TITLE : Germination of a seed
ACTIVITY BRIEF:
Experiential learning is a process of learning from real life experiences, where our children practice ‘Learning by doing’.
Germination is the process by which a plant grows from a seed into a seedling.
All seeds need water, oxygen and optimal temperature to germinate.
As part of the ‘experiential learning’ children sowed the seeds and poured water to the seeds in our school garden and observed regularly about the growth of the plant.
The children were very excited to see when the shoot of the plant emerged. Exploring the school garden increased their observation skills.
