BGS National Public School Bannerghatta had the distinct honor of partaking in the commemoration of International Science Centre & Science Museum Day at the esteemed Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM) on Friday, November 10, 2023. This prestigious invitation from the Education Section of VITM provided an exceptional opportunity for the students to immerse themselves in the captivating world of science and technology.

The day unfolded with a mesmerizing demonstration of water rocket launching, where the principles of physics took center stage. Students marveled as rockets soared into the sky, propelled by the force of pressurized water, igniting their curiosity about aerospace engineering and the wonders of propulsion.

Next, the students delved into the realm of ‘Electricity & Magnetism’ through a captivating science demonstration lecture. Mr. Shrinivas expertly guided students through the fundamental concepts that govern our modern world, illuminating topics such as magnetic properties, magnetic lines, eddy currents, electric motors, the Fleming Right-hand rule, and the Fleming Left-hand rule. This comprehensive exploration of these crucial forces sparked a deeper understanding and appreciation for the role of electricity and magnetism in our daily lives.

To further solidify their newly acquired knowledge, students eagerly participated in an Open House Science Quiz on ‘Science Centres & Museums.’ This interactive challenge tested their grasp of the concepts covered in the demonstration and lecture, encouraging them to apply their newfound expertise in a fun and competitive setting.
