EVENT BRIEF:

“Leadership is not a job or a name, it is an action and a model.”

To climb to the top and reach the pinnacle of success, BGS National Public School is committed to supporting students in a humble and responsible manner, always with their heads held high. With the start of the new term of the 2023-2024 academic year, Investiture Ceremony was held to mark a new beginning. It is a solemn occasion wherein all the young students are well prepared to don the mantle of leadership and responsibility while carrying it out with utmost dedication. Initially, the candidates had prepared and presented strong speeches in front of all the students and teachers in order to qualify for the elections. A democratic digital voting procedure was set in pace which ultimately formed the school Student Council of the year 2023-2024.

With the divine blessings of His Holiness Bhairavaikya Jagadguru Padmabhushan Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji, Founder President, Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Mutt, His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, President, Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust and Sri Sri Dr. Prakashanatha Swamiji, Managing Director, BGS & SJB Group of Institutions and Hospitals and in the honoured presence of our chief guest Mr. Umamahesh S P, Circle Inspector of Police, Bannerghatta Circle and all the respected Principals of our sister organisations and esteemed presence parents of the members of the Student Council, the great ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp by Sri Sri Dr. Prakashanatha Swamiji. A spirit of divinity, unity and dynamism filled the air with the lighting of the auspicious lamp of knowledge followed by a soulful and melodious invocation song and an invocation dance by the students.

The newly elected members of the Student Council took the oath to work for the honor and glory of the school, while receiving their prestigious flag, badge and sash from Sri Sri Dr. Prakashanatha Swamiji, our chief guest Mr. Umamahesh S P and all the respected Principals of our sister organizations. The School Head Boy, School Head Girl, Sports Captain, CCA Captain and House Captains stood tall while holding the flags as destiny prepared itself to bring in many more laurels to the institution.

It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders. The Chief Guest Mr. Umamahesh SP gave a speech to the students regarding upholding the legacy of the school and the importance of leadership qualities and tips on how turn out to be a leader. He encouraged students to always walk on the correct path and be the change.

The Principal, Mr. Ganapathy C M motivated the students to keep moving forward despite all the obstacles and challenges that life throws in front of us. He said that being a leader is a vital role and that the new Student Council would have ample responsibilities to shoulder.

With the flags held high and heads standing tall, the ceremony concluded with the Ashirvachana by Sri Sri Dr. Prakashanatha Swamiji and National Anthem.
